PINEVILLE, WEST VIRGINIA
This year our LCBC Short Term Mission Team will again be partnering with Praying Pelican Missions to serve in Pineville, West Virginia. They will be setting out on June 24th and returning July 1st. This year the team will be working on a few home projects.  Along with the home projects there is a hope to lead a time of worship with the people within the community either in a church or the town square.

In 2022 LCBC sent out its first Short Term Mission Team.  June, of 2022 eight members of Lake Chelan Bible Church partnered with Praying Pelican Missions to serve in Clendenin, West Virginia.  This area is known as the Appalachian region of the United States. We arrived to meet Carolynn, her daughter with her husband and their baby. Carolynn was disabled and bound to her wheelchair. Her house was in desperate need of repair. The LCBC Mission Team worked to remodel her front porch to where she could enjoy it once again with her grandson. While serving Carolyn by repairing her home, God was working on all of our hearts. We quickly formed a bond with their family and shared God's love with them. We were able to share with multiple members of the community who all wondered why anyone from Washington would bother to come to visit their small town to help. God's love broke down long-standing barriers that week to bring us all closer to Him.
